Dr. Luke Tian received his bachelor degree of Medicine (equivalent to MD in US) in Hunan College of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Hunan, China. He has started his TCM practice since 1984 in the affiliated hospital of Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Meteria Medica. In 1990, he received his master degree of TCM oncology in the same Academy. In 1995, he received his Ph.D degree in Cancer Pharmacology in Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in Guangzhou, China. From 1997 to 2005, he worked as research associate in Howard Hughes Medical Institute in School of Medicine University of Pennsylvania and Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center. From 2003, he started to practice in Rockville of Maryland as an acupuncturist. Half of his patients are cancer and leukemia patients and another half are ones with varieties of pain and chronic conditions. His clinic offers following services:

·     The complementary treatments for cancer with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The goal of such a treatment is to minimize the side effects from conventional  treatments, such as surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, while provide some synergistic therapeutic effects with conventional treatments.

·     Pain management with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He treats all kinds of pain conditions, such as headache, neck pain, low back pain, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, pain, knee pain, gout pain, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), sciatica pain, and injury from car accident.

·     The complementary treatments for varieties of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, high cholesterol condition, Insomnia, Alzheimer’s disease, obesity, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, dry eye syndrome, menopause, Behçet’s disease, anorexia, stomach ulcer, celiac disease, reflux, eczema, hives, shingles, upper respiratory infections, COPD, seasonal allergy, urinary tract infection, kidney failure, urinary incontinence, prostatitis, prostate enlargement, etc.

田路加医生毕业于中国湖南中医学院，获医学学士学位（相当于美国的医学博士/MD学位）。他于1984年开始在湖南省中医药研究院附属医院从事中医临床工作。1990年，他在该研究院获得中医肿瘤学硕士学位。1995年，他在中国广州的中山医科大学获得肿瘤药理学博士学位。1997年至2005年间，他先后在宾夕法尼亚大学医学院的霍华德·休斯医学研究所（Howard Hughes Medical Institute）及乔治城大学医学中心隆巴迪癌症中心（Lombardi Cancer Center）担任研究员。2003年起，他在马里兰州罗克维尔（Rockville）开始从事针灸临床工作。他的患者群体中，约半数为癌症及白血病患者，另一半则患有各类疼痛及慢性疾病。其诊所提供以下服务：

·     癌症的针灸与中药辅助治疗。此类治疗旨在减轻手术、放疗、化疗和免疫疗法等常规治疗带来的副作用，同时与常规治疗产生协同疗效。

·     利用针灸和中药进行疼痛管理。治疗各类疼痛病症，包括头痛、颈痛、腰痛、肩痛、腕管综合征、膝痛、痛风疼痛、经前综合征（PMS）、坐骨神经痛以及车祸伤痛等。

·     多种慢性疾病的辅助治疗，例如糖尿病、高血压、冠心病、高胆固醇血症、失眠、阿尔茨海默病、肥胖症、桥本甲状腺炎、干眼症、更年期综合征、白塞病、厌食症、胃溃疡、乳糜泻、胃酸反流、湿疹、荨麻疹、带状疱疹、上呼吸道感染、慢性阻塞性肺疾病（COPD）、季节性过敏、尿路感染、肾衰竭、尿失禁、前列腺炎、前列腺肥大等。
